I have a small portion of my portfolio in commodities, silver is a metal with many industrial uses and because of the internet commodity prices fluctuate more these days. There is a slow down in Chinese manufacturing. Don't call me shirley, markets do make sense from a historical perspective when all the information is known, but thier very difficult to predict while your living through the times you are in.

Help needed: JC standards/questions for "Drunkenness"
by respectful_observer ini'm hoping those of you in the jwn community may be able to help me out.
an acquaintance (of legal drinking age) may soon be sitting for jc under the charge of "drunkenness".. to those of you who have direct experience either serving on a jc, or being the subject of a jc related to the misuse of alcohol:.
- could you provide a list of questions that were asked of the accused?.

Ah, wine that makes the heart of mortal man rejoice. Just be humble don't admit anything, but if you think I stumbled someone I am willing to apologize is what I would tell them. They will then council you on the snares of alchahol and they will read a couple of scriptures. At least thats what they used to do, I've been out since 1985.

The WTBTS-What A Joke!
by JW GoneBad ini found these questions that were part of a theocratic written review for the week of february 24, 2003 that are in need of updating:.
multiple choice: the faithful and discreet slave mentioned by jesus at matthew 24:45-47 is (a) the governing body of jehovahs witnesses; (b) all anointed christians as a group on earth at any given time; (c) jesus christ himself.
back in 2003 the correct answer would have been (b) all anointed christians as a group on earth at any given time.

I was in a similar situation as far as work goes but I was younger not married and did not have kids at the time. Is your spouse a witness too? The fact that you have children and a familly that are in complicates things. Your number one priority should be your own familly. Tread carefully when I got turfed I lost everything.

Quendi I live in Ontario but have traveled east and west in this big country. The Newfies are a great people I have worked with and know many of them. There are lots of things to see in our maritime provinces from a tidal bore to a reversing falls to a magnetic hill where you put your car in neutral and roll up hill (optical illusion) and a lot of good food and booze LOL.

I don't know if any other ex dubs on here can remember a talk back at an assembly in the 1970's that said Lecithan was a nice word for blood used by manufacturers. My parents would not eat or allow us to eat products that listed lecithan on thier ingrediants.

Integrity over living a lie....
by Happier inhey to everyone here... so i have never been one for writing much of my feelings down for other people to see.
this however has become so important to me and i may be able to help someone who dares go looking for answers some place other than the jw.org website.
first of all i would like to thank anybody and everybody who had the courage enough to write their experience in the organisation.

"I do feel like I am an honest person and I refuse to live in way that is lying about who I am when I know this is the wrong way of living for me." Thats exactly the way I felt when I got disfellowshipped. A hearty welcome from accross the pond in Canada.
